Agassiz Energy LLC, the group that planned to build an ethanol plant near Erskine, is suing a Fargo construction company and others.
The civil lawsuit filed Friday in federal court by Agassiz Energy LLC accuses Wanzek Construction and three other companies of misrepresenting themselves as a corporation with experience in designing and building ethanol plants. Agassiz Energy is seeking nearly $830,000 in damages from the Bio-Renewable Group, which includes Wanzek Construction, Teton Industrial Group, Utility Engineering Corp., and Vogelbusch USA, Inc.
The lawsuit claims that Bio-Renewable Group was "solely a marketing device for a potential joint venture between the defendants, and not a corporate or legal entity with experience or ability in the design and construction of ethanol plants." read more..
